TOMIC - Challenge #39 "Tilda's Birthday"!!!

Yessss... I'm on a roll this week with so many *birthday* celebrations!!!

This time is Tilda's Birthday!!!

And at TOMIC we're celebrating this ultra-special occasion with a special challenge:

*Follow this sketch with a girly theme + you must add a Birthday text in it.*

So here's what I prepared for this challenge:

This cute Tilda is the *Tilda with Lacey Shoes* and I colored her with Distress Inks...

The sentiment is in Spanish and it reads "Happy Birthday". And of course, added *lots* of embellishments :-) (At the end of this post you'll find the supplies' list.)

A Birthday Card for Mónica

My beautiful niece Mónica turned 15 years old last week...

And this is the card that I made her:

Tilda is one of the newest stamps from the Princes and Princesses Collection... so stinking adorable!! :-)

I colored her with Distress Inks and mixed *a lot* of colors to get this effect ;-)  Papers are from Bo Bunny, the heart die hockey doo is one of the newest from Magnolia too, and the border die is from Memory Box. Finally, the big pink flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts and the others are generic ones ;-)

I didn't photograph it, but inside I made a small pocket to fit some $$$ to give to her ;-)  I don't have to tell you how happy she was! :-D

The fun just begun @ TOMIC... and it's Pauline's Bday!!

YAY...  It's finally here!!!

But it's not any challenge, as it's Pauline's birthday...  so we've put together a gorgeous challenge to honor the Magnolia stamps' creator:  **BIRTHDAY**.

I colored Tilda with Distress Inks...  and the yellow paper flower was handmade using my Sizzix.  My friend Marilyn has a tutorial on this...  if you haven't seen it yet, then go and check it out ;-)

Magnolia Birthday Card

And it was about time that I made a Magnolia card...LOL!

So here's a little one I did for my MIL, who celebrated her birthday recently...

This card IS NOT of my original inspiration...  I did it inspired in my fellow Magnolia DT--Camilla H.  She did a beautiful job with hers...  you can see it here.  And so I decided to give this layout a try.

I colored Tilda with Distress Inks, and handmade the flowers with my Sizzix.  I also did a lot of distressing and machine sewing.  The title "Feliz Cumpleaños" (Happy Birthday) was created with a computer font.  At the end of this post is the full supplies list.

Now for my main post...

What a better way to start blogging again than with a challenge, huh?

This week's challenge is from Just Magnolia...  all you have to do is create a card using the following sketch:

And here's my version of it:

Please bear with me...  lately my pics are not are their best!  I got myself a new camera and I'm still learning how to use it :-s  Also, I enrolled myself in this *Photography Class*...  so right now I'm doing *baby steps* until I feel comfortable enough to use my new camera like a Pro.

Anyway, I have returned to my comfort zone and did what I like the most:  stitching & distress ;-D

Also, I did a lot of layering to add more dimension to the card...  See?  See?

About the flowers...  well, you must be sick and tired of reading that I handmade them!  So I won't get into much detail about them...  only that I used Distress Inks (Antique Linen and Tumbled Glass) to color them, with some Pearl Ex to add some shimmer.

Sketch Saturday - Sketch #71

Hi everyone, Here I am again! ;-) Today I want to share with you my newest card that I did using Sketch Saturday's Sketch #71. For this sketch I used a Tilda stamp... I know I've been using this stamp A LOT lately, but I just ADORE this stamp! It goes perfectly with any theme ;-) I also kept it very vintage... with lots of distressing, ribbons, flowers, aged papers, etc. It is going to be a birthday gift for a co-worker, so I just hope she likes it ;-) TFL!
