Argh Matey!!

It's Pirate Tilda...  joining us this week @ Stamp With Fun :-D

This week @ SWF we have the following sketch:

So cute and so easy to follow...  so here's my take:

But as always, I wanted to make something different, so I found this cute free pirate clip art over the Internet, downloaded it, and using the paper piecing technique, I made the Pirate Ship.  Using my MS's Scoring Board, I embosed the entire ship (to add texture to it), and with a small circle punch and black cardstock, I punched four circles (yes, there are four, only that there's one behind Tilda!) to make the ship's windows.

For the sails I used canvas fabric, which I died using Distress Inks...  and then adhered them to my card with fabric adhesive and dimensionals (to make them pop-up out of the card).  The rest is regular cardmaking/scrapbooking techniques and supplies.

Now don't forget to take the challenge @ Stamp With Fun...  there's always a nice price! ;-D

Recipe:
  • Patterned Paper - Fancy Pants, Bo Bunny
  • Stamp - Pirate Tilda by Magnolia
  • Inks - Jet Black StazOn, Tim Holtz's Distress Inks (Hat & Boots: Black Soot; Hair: Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain; Skin: Tattered Rose, Vintage Photo; Cheeks: Worn Lipstick; Blouse: Faded Jeans, Bundled Sage; Pants: Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain), ColorBox Chestnut Pigment Pad, Antique White Acrylic Paint
  • Rhynestones - Magnolia
  • Other - Martha Stewart's Scoring Board, paper flowers, ribbon, Stickles, canvas fabric, small circle punch
