Primera Comunión - Part II

So my mom is a Catechesis teacher...  and during the course of this week she asked me if I could make a couple of First Communion ("Primera Comunión") cards for five of her students.

Of course, I couldn't say no! ;-)  So here's what I did:

This Tilda is from the ~2010 Wedding Collection~.  I thought it was the most convenient for a First Communion girl ;-)

Since I was in a little bit of a hurry, I colored her with Copics.  I also used the oval and scallop oval templates from Spellbinders to fit her.  Patterned paper is from Bo Bunny and I machine stitched it to the card.  The pink pearls are from Tickled Pink Stamps, and the big pink paper flower is handmade using the Tim Holtz's Flower Die.

Here's how it looks on the inside:

For the inside, I used a Fiskars border punch and a cross punch, a white ribbon, and computer font "Gabriola" in MS Word.

Like I said, I had to make five of these cuties...  and the celebration is tomorrow, so let's see if they like them ;-)

Happy Stamping everyone!!

Primera Comunion

Hi everyone,

I hope that you're all having a lovely week :-)

I've been working on many things...  ALL at the same time :-s  Some are fun, but others are not...  but still I won't complain.  After all I like being busy ;-)

And one of those things is this box that I prepared for my niece's First Communion celebration...

For some reason this Tilda reminds me of her...  she has brown and short hair...  and is all together too cute...LOL!

I ran out of pink flowers, so I had to stick the white ones...   I think they look good on it and create a color balance.

And of course, there'll be a small gift inside the box...  but that's a surprise ;-)

As always, at the end of this post is the supplies' list.

Thanks for stopping by!

"Happily Ever After" Mini Album

And when I say "mini", it's mini!  LOL!  It measures approximately 7 1/2" x 4 1/2"...  and all stamps are from the Magnolia 2010 *Wedding Collection*.

I handmade the flowers using my Tim Holtz's Flower template for Sizzix, dictionary pages, and Glimmer Mists ;-)

I also sprayed Glimmer Mist on the inside pages for a distress look.

For the envelope, I used my Fiskars' envelope template, a Maya Road clear stamp, and more Glimmer Mists.

All images were colored with Tim Holtz's Distress Inks.

Finally, all papers that I used for this album are from The Girls Paperie.

Thanks for stopping by! :-D

Loving Wishes

Good day everyone!

Today I want to share with you my latest Magnolia card from the *2010 Wedding Collection*.  It's another Easel card, using -->this<-- sketch for inspiration.  Too bad I couldn't make it on time for it :-(  Anyhow, here's my version:

*Almost* everything that you see in here is from the Dear Lizzy collection by American Crafts, except for Tilda (of course!), the ribbons, and the flowers (Prima, Magnolia).  The title "Loving Wishes" is from Magnolia too.

I colored Tilda with Distress Inks (Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Worn Lipstick, Milled Lavender, Old Paper, Crushed Olive).  I also used the scalloped circle Spellbinder for the white background, and the oval Spellbinder to mat the title.  Of course, my sewing machine for stitching...  and *lots* of dimensionals ;-)

Now I'm working on a mini album, which I plan on finishing soon (fingers crossed!), so don't forget to drop by again ;-)  Also, my *blog candy* is due on Sunday...  if you haven't had the chance to play, don't wait until the last minute to do so...  *anyone* is welcome to join in the fun!!

Thanks for dropping by and *Happy 4th of July*!!

Felicidades Siempre

Hey everyone,

As promised, here's another card using the latest Magnolia collection:  *Wedding*

I thought that I might use a Easel card...  they are so fun to make and when finished, they look so pretty in a desk ;-)  Here's a closer look:

I used Distress Inks to color my image.  Yes, I know!  There's one tiny *incomplete* detail, which I won't tell you what it is...  you'll have to guess.  But believe me, I didn't notice it until I got it photographed.  Oh well...  I do promise to finish it ;-)

Here's the bottom part:

The phrase "Felicidades Siempre" is a stamp from the Spanish line from Stamping Up.  I used Timber Brown StazOn to stamp it...  and my oval Nestabilities to frame it.  And at the bottom of this post is the supply's list ;-)

Oh BTW, I have a *blog candy* going on and everyone is welcome to play.  You can check it out -->here.

Happy Stamping!

Hey everyone,

I hope that you all had a wonderful Father's Day!!! :-D

As promised, here's another card using the newest Magnolia's *Wedding Collection*...  and believe me ladies, it is a dream come true!!  The images are simply astonishing ;-)

It can't be well appreciated, but I used dimensionals to make Tilda and Edwin *stand out* from the card.

I think that you have seen this card pattern before...  I've used it in here and here.  This is how it looks when opened (of course, it isn't finished yet!):

And the side panel:

You can always add a computer generated message, a pocket, a tag...  the sky's the limit! ;-)

And at the end of this post you'll find the supplies' list.

Wedding Invitation

Hi everyone,

FINALLY I've got to make a card...  yeaaaahhhh!!!  LOL!  This one's from Magnolia's newest collection:  **Wedding**

*Everything* that you see in here is from Magnolia...  except for the inks ;-)

This time I used my Copics to color the image.  After using Distress Inks for so long, it is such a *breeze* to use Copics...  I completely forgot how quick you can color with them and how *neat* your final image looks like :-D

I also used my Coluzzle oval template, scalloped punch, antique white acrylic paint, Stickles, and machine stitching.

I'm currently working on another one, so don't forget to come back again!

Happy Stamping!  :-D
