Feliz Navidad

This is a card that I did for a local magazine...

one of my 1st projects as a DT member for them :-)

I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and used papers made by Teresa Collins. The sentiment is in Spanish and it is from Stamping Up.

Tilda with Child never gets old! I mean, they are the *reason for the season* after all, right? ;-)

Have a blessed Christmas!! ~xoxo~

Magnolia Advent Calendar - Day 5

Hello lovelies!!

It is my turn (Day 5) in this amazing Magnolia Advent Calendar.

Today I am going to be sharing with you a *Christmas card* that I created using the lovely Stocking Tilda from the Winter Wonderland 2013 Collection.

To create this card I used a shaped tag template by QuicKutz, papers are Vintage Christmas by My Minds Eye, the paper wreath is by Memory Box, oval templates are Nestabilities by Spellbinders, and the sentiment is also from the Winter Wonderland Collection.

I used Prismacolor Pencils with Mineral Spirits to color Tilda and to create the background. I just simply loooove this technique and will probably be using it more often, so I hope that you like it ;-)

------------------------------------------------------------

**Now for the fun part... make sure to leave a comment under this post for a chance to win a beautiful prize by the most amazing Magnolia people!! But hurry up!! Because comments under this post will close in exactly *one* day.**

And stay tuned to Magnolia World over at Facebook, because each day during the entire month of December there will be a new blog post by each one of the Design Team members with a new chance to win fabulous prizes :-)

Christmas Bag and the New Magnolia Ink

Hi everyone,

Here is my latest creation... a *Christmas bag*, which I prepared as part of a tutorial and for a private class that I offered ;)

The lovely Angel Tilda was colored with Prismacolor Pencils...

The poinsettia is handmade using a template that I found in the Internet ;)

Papers are Santa's List Collection by Teresa Collins. And the rest are trims, ribbons and embellishments.

Also don't forget to check out the newest Magnolia Ink, with lots of Christmas inspiration and ideas :)

Shepherd Tilda

At only one week until Christmas, I can say that I'm almost ready for this big event.

My cards were mailed...

My home decoration is done...

I'm almost finished with my shopping...

My December Daily is in process and it's looking fabulous ;-)

I made a Christmas Photo Session for some happy customers...

And of course, I made some time out to play with my Magnolia stamps ;-D

Like the title says, this is Shepherd Tilda on a lovely background of Bethlehem. Everything is colored with Distress Inks.

I made a shaped card with Nestabilities and my Big Shot. The most talented Camilla has a -->tutorial on how to make one.

Papers are from Simple Stories, flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts (and from some other companies), the heart tag is Magnolia, the sentiment reads "Merry Christmas" and is from Stampin' Up, and I also used trims, a doily, cheese cloth, and machine stitching.

Oh and guess what? That little fellow to the left just announced that he knows who Santa really is!! :-o My reply: "Good! Because now you can tell yourself to that person that I want an iPad for Christmas." LOL!!

Happy Stamping!!

Mother and Child

As promised, here's another Christmas card using one of the newest stamps from the Nativity Collection...

Mother & Child representing the true Christmas Spirit!

Papers are Fancy Pants and Simple Stories, I colored my stamp with Distress Inks, tags are Magnolia, the oval templates are Nestabilities, flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts, and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up. I also used Modeling Paste on all edges to add a "frosty" look ;-)

Will be back with some more, so stay tuned!

Magnolia Advent Calendar Day 5: A Christmas Tag

Welcome to Day 5 of this lovely Magnolia Advent Calendar blog hop!

Today is a special day too because it's my youngest son--Sebastián's birthday.

He turns 11 years old and I couldn't be any prouder!! He's also my little fish...LOL!

Now back to the Advent Calendar, this is what I created:

Photography Tip: I wanted to add a Christmas feeling to my pics, so I lowered the ambient lights and focused on my Christmas tree's lights so that they could pop-up from the pic and to illuminate my tag ;-)

About my tag, it's the first time that I use cheese cloth in one of my projects and all that I'm going to say is that it wasn't that bad! haha No really, many of my fellow DT members use it in their projects and I've never used it before. Baby Jesus is from the newest Nativity Collection and I colored him with Copics. Tag dies are from Magnolia and the flowery rounded die is from Memory Box. Patterned paper is from Prima Marketing, Inc. and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Finally, the sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

You know the rules... you have to leave a comment under this post in order to win a prize ;-)

Also, I'm sharing the day with my lovely DT member Hanna. So make sure to visit her blog for an amazing creation and for a second chance to win a prize :-)

Thanks for stopping by!!

Feliz Navidad

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and weekend!!

Today I want to share with you my last card for the series of Christmas cards that I'm donating to Hogar del Niño.

I wish I could've had the opportunity to make many more, but time and other duties made it impossible for me to continue doing this. But at least I did managed to make some and contribute to this good cause ;-)

Here's the finished card:

The stamps are from the newest Magnolia Christmas Collection 2011... they were all soooo pretty!! And instead of making the *masking technique* for these two stamps, I paper-pieced them and added 3D dots to make them *pop-up* from the card.

As always, at the end of this post is the supplies' list.

Next week I'll be coming back with a TOMIC Challenge... so stick around ;-)

Thanks for stopping by and for your lovely comments!!

Sweet Christmas Dreams - Part II

Good day everyone!!

I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend :-)

I ran a lot of errands, but still managed to finish another card for this *Sweet Christmas edition*. I'm working *twice*, as I'm donating some of these cards to a special cause ;-)

Anyway, here's my finished card:

I colored Tilda with Distress Inks, using the *watering technique* (as I call it... I'm sure that my students will recall it too!) to make the edges *pop-up* ;-). And then... since I'm doubling my work, I kept it simple so I could finish both cards.

As always, at the end of this post is the supplies' list.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Sweet Christmas Dreams

Hi everyone,

Here's another card that I did using the new Magnolia Christmas Collection 2011...

The sentiment is also from this newest collection.  I colored Tilda with Distress Inks (Antique Linen, Walnut Stain, Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Aged Mahogany, Fired Brick, Weathered Wood, Spiced Marmalade, Old Paper), and decorated her wings with Stickles "Star Dust".  All papers are from Echo Park Paper "Christmas Collection", and I used Nestabilities from Spellbinders for the oval and scallop oval shapes ;-)  The border punch is from Martha Stewart and to add more dimension, I distressed all edges with Distress Ink "Walnut Stain" and did some machine stitching.

I'll be back soon with more cards, but in the mean time, "Thanks" for stopping by!! :-)

Feliz Navidad

Hi everyone,

At Magnolia we're all into the Christmas Spirit already! :-)

The new Magnolia Ink comes full with Christmas inspiration...

and now the new Stamp Club comes fully packed with Christmas stamps... yesss!!!

So while you wait for the latest Magnolia Ink edition to arrive, here's some Christmas *eye candy* specially made for you to be inspired ;-)

Isn't this Tilda adorable? I colored her with Distress Inks... and added Stickles for some *sparkle*.  I distressed certain areas with Distress Ink "Walnut Stain" and also clear embossed some edges and added Crackle Paint to simulate snow ;-)

I'm also making *double cards* of each one of these cuties to donate to my friend Sonia, who's receiving donated Christmas cards for Hogar de Niñas. It's a home for abused/homeless girls, whom are having a Christmas cards sale for their benefit. So if you want to contribute too, simply contact Sonia by clicking -->here<--.

The bottom part was decorated with already-made paper flowers, a heart (which I cut with my Sizzix and painted with acrylic paint), the bottom border was cut using a Martha Stewart punch, lots of pink pearls, and an elegant phrase, which is part of the 2010 Magnolia Christmas collection.

Now tomorrow is Claudia's turn...  so make sure to drop by her blog and see the lovely project she has created for you ;-)
