~XOXO~ Card

Two of my Magnolia cards will be published in the next issue of our local scrapbook magazine *Papeles y Más*... and one of them is this one:

I thought it would be nice to create something different to my usual style...

A *simpler* and a little bit *manly* card. I thought it would be nice to create something different to my usual style ;)

And to add a little bit more fun, I did it in 3D and added embroidery floss to the balloons. The sentiment is chipboard by Make It Crafty, which I colored with Copics. And Edwin was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Mineral Spirits.

Anyway, I can't wait for the magazine to be published and see what the rest of the ladies did! It sure is going to be a terrific issue :-)

Thanks for stopping by! ~xoxo~

A *Girly* Bag

Hi everyone!

Here's a super cute project that I made recently...

A *girly* bag ;-)

I made the bag inspired on one made by Flo. She makes the most beautiful projects ever, so make sure to check her blog out!

The stamp is On the Road Tilda from Magnolia's latest collection.

I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I simply *loooooove* this technique!!

And this reminds me that... I will be sharing a tutorial soon on how to color with this technique. Only that it will be for my Spanish speaking friends and fans. But don't be discouraged, because I plan on uploading the English version soon ;-) So stay tuned!

Well I guess that's all for now. Thanks for stopping by!! xoxo

Sweet Valentine

Hi everyone,

Here's a last minute card that I created for Valentine's Day...

This is Tilda with Big Ice Cream and she is my very first Tilda with *no lines* technique... Woohooo!!!

I always struggled with this technique and after having tried many~many times, I finally could create one (at least decent enough to show off...LOL!!)

Here's a close-up of her...

I also did a *wash-out* effect on her with white acrylic paint to *fade* her just a little bit and to give her an even more watercolor effect ;-)

All in all, I really liked how she turned out :-D

Finally, I'm happy to announce that we have four new DT members...

~ Jill ~

Tilda Interactive Card

Hi everyone!

Today I want to share with you an interactive card that I created using one of the many beautiful Tildas from the newest Valentine's Collection.

I created the base of the card using a 8-pointed star shape that I found on the internet. I loved this shape and how cute it made the card look. I'm definitely going to use it again!

Now for the interactive part... this is what's behind Tilda:

That tiny spiral that you see there is called a "wobble" and what it does is that it makes your image move or shake.

At the bottom of this post you will find a short video in which I show you how it works. I'm also pretty excited about this video, because for the first time you'll hear me speaking in English!! :-o So please don't laugh ok? LOL!

Also at the end of the video you'll find the supplies list for this card.

And here's the latest on Cupcake. She was looking out the window and it was a perfect setting to take a pic of her ;-)

Thanks for stopping by!!

TOMIC - Challenge #38 "Friendship"

Hi everyone!

It's time for another TOMIC challenge... yesss!!

This week's challenge is *friendship*: you must to use the word "Friend" in your creation AND also a Magnolia Doo Hickey Die.

And here's what I made for this challenge:

Tilda is from the newest 2012 Valentine's Collection and the heart doo hikey die too. I colored Tilda with Distress Inks and blended different colors and Crackle Paint for the background to make a "wash-out" effect ;-)

The swirls and phrase around Tilda were heat embossed using Gold embossing powder. For the sentiments, I used stickers and rubons. I used different flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, Magnolia, etc. and papers from Girls Paperie and Crate Paper.

Now visit TOMIC's blog and see what the rest of the DT did for this challenge and give it a try too ;-)

Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

It's a beautiful day filled with love and happiness!!

Hi everyone,

I hope that you're all enjoying your day :-)

So far I've been receiving many candies and chocolates from my friends and co-workers...

so yes... I AM happy!! :-D

My son has this girlfriend...

you know, that first teenage love :-o

Of course, he wanted to impress the young lady with a Valentine's present...

so he got her a stuffed Teddy Bear with a big heart hanging AND a couple of strawberries dipped in chocolate... yum!!! ;-) And finally...

you guessed it! A card! ;-)

Please excuse the quality of the pic, but it was taking during the night hours... and then in the morning, it was still dark outside, so this was the best that I could get :-s

I made this tag/card inspired in the most talented Camilla S. She makes the most beautiful Magnolia cards... and did a tag/card for the newest Magnolia Ink magazine, that inspired me to make this one. Of course, hers is prettier ;-) Anyhow, click -->here<-- to see more of her work.

And speaking of Magnolia... have you seen the new Princes & Princesses Collection?

It's definitely a collection that you don't want to miss! ;-)

Now... to all of you, my cyber-friends...

I wish you a Happy Valentine's Day and *many thanks* for all the friendships and support that you've given me over the past years!!!

Here are a few *love* related images that I found on the Internet. I hope that they serve you for some inspiration!
