Prismacolors and Magnolia

This is the second class that I taught at our local scrapbook event: *How to color Tilda with Prismacolor Pencils and Mineral Spirits*.

That's me... the 3rd one from left to right :-)

*Papeles y Más Magazine*... the primary sponsor for this event.

My classroom was full of amazing, talented ladies... and even a very talented gentleman was there taking my class ;-)

And here's the project that we created...

A paper bag featuring the lovely *Unsunny Sky Tilda*.

It was late and we were tired, so I couldn't take a picture of the entire group with their project, but still we had lots of fun and everyone was pleased with the results.

*THANK YOU SO MUCH* Magnolia for sponsoring my class!!
I couldn't have made it without you!

When I received this lovely Tilda in the mail a couple of days ago, I couldn't help but to think that it suited me perfectly.

Like today's title reads: "When it rains, it pours!"  Because this is what is being happening to me lately :(

If you want to know what is going on in my life, check out this post.

Anyway, this is my newest card creation. I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils with the Mineral Spirits technique.

A *Girly* Bag

Hi everyone!

Here's a super cute project that I made recently...

A *girly* bag ;-)

I made the bag inspired on one made by Flo. She makes the most beautiful projects ever, so make sure to check her blog out!

The stamp is On the Road Tilda from Magnolia's latest collection.

I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I simply *loooooove* this technique!!

And this reminds me that... I will be sharing a tutorial soon on how to color with this technique. Only that it will be for my Spanish speaking friends and fans. But don't be discouraged, because I plan on uploading the English version soon ;-) So stay tuned!

Well I guess that's all for now. Thanks for stopping by!! xoxo

A Mother's Day Card

Hi there lovelies!

Here's my latest card using *Ballerina* Tilda from the latest Magnolia stamps collection...

Since tomorrow we celebrate Mother's Day, I thought that this stamp would look cute for a gift. I colored her with Distress Inks, paper pieced her crown with 3D dots and added Stickles to make certain areas to *pop-out* from the card.

The sentiment is computer generated and it reads *Happy Mother's Day!*

Now this card is for a special friend of mine ;-) I hope that she likes it!!

I'll be back soon with another creation. Thanks for stopping by!!

Recipe:
  • Stamp - Ballerina Tilda
  • Inks - StazOn Baby Blue, Distress Inks, Acrylic Paint
  • Patterned Paper - Melissa Frances
  • Card Template - QuicKutz
  • Oval Template - Nestabilities
  • Heart Tag - Magnolia DooHickey
  • Other - Doily, Cheese Cloth, Flowers, Trims, Sheer Ribbon, Mini Spool, Rhynestones, Machine Stitching

It's Almost Spring!

And what a good way to receive it by having a basket full of fresh and happy colors, flowers, and Easter eggs...

Cones seem to be very *in* lately, so I decided to go with the flow and create one too ;-)

I filled it with eggs that I made using the new Doo Bee Pops by Magnolia. The sweet DT member Ying made a quick and easy tutorial on how to use these if you still don't know how to.

I decorated its middle with Spring flowers, trims and seam binding, a Doo Hickey Folded Heart, and a sentiment from Magnolia. For the cone, I used a patterned paper from Magnolia too!

And for the bottom part, I hanged seam binding, sheer ribbon, and two circle Doo Bee Pops, which I attached with embroidery floss and acrylic hearts that hang to its end.

It was all very quick and easy, and it makes a nice home decoration ;-)

By the way, we have two *new Design Team members*. Please welcome:

Tilda in 3D

Hi everyone!

It's time for some Easter inspiration ;-)

So today I'm going to share with you my latest card using a lovely Tilda from the newest Easter 2013 Collection.

Yes, I'm hooked with these shaped cards! They're so much fun to create and look soooo pretty ;-)

I colored Tilda with Distress Inks and I added Stickles to certain areas for a sparkly touch.

And here's a neat trick...

I stamped *twice* both images (the background and Tilda), colored everything, and then cut out certain pieces from both images and adhered them to the main ones with 3D dots, as seen in the picture.

You can see how the technique is done in this video that I created a couple of months ago, which features another stamp and card, but the process is exactly the same.

Thanks for stopping by!!

It Feels Like Spring

It feels like Spring!

And what a better way to start the season than with "a gift from the heart" ;-)

Today's share is a Magnolia card with Edwin as its main character...

Such a handsome young man isn't he? ;-)  And I also love the fact that he is carrying a flower...  it's so romantic :-D

Now about my card...  all papers and stamps are from Magnolia, the border punch is from Martha Stewart, rhynestones are from Basics, and the paper flowers are those generic ones I found at my local craft store, except for the blue one, which I handmade using my Sizzix ;-)

I colored Edwin with Distress Inks...  and I also distressed the papers with white acrylic paint and machine stitching.

Finally, this card is competing in the following challenges:  Friday Sketchers and Stamp Something.

I'll be back soon with another project.  In the meantime...  *thanks* for stopping by!! :-)
