SWF's Challenge #51 - Easter

OK, so my camera was acting up again :-(

Not only did I want to share with you this week's challenge from Stamp With Fun, but also my *very first* stamped image colored with Distress Inks. :-o

OK, but first things first!

Stamp With Fun is offering this *super fun* challenge, where all you have to do is make something with a Easter theme.  Of course, my Easter Tilda was sitting right there...  waiting to be colored...LOL!  So I prepared this Easter themed wagon.  The chicken is also from Magnolia ;-)  And for the eggs, I just cut two oval shapes using my Coluzzle template, distressed them and added some embellishments.  Super quick and super fun challenge :-D

Now for the Distress Inks...  I always saw that my fellow DTs used them and I always admired how beautiful their images turned out, but it never occured to me to use them.  I'd always used Copics...  and they are an excellent coloring tool, but they tend to be a little bit too bright...  and sometimes I struggled mixing and matching colors until I found the perfect one.  Sometimes this task was a little overwhelming, time consuming and kind of expensive $$$.  Anyway, to make my story short, the ladies from the Magnolia DT were kind enough to help me choose my first distress colors.  And after lots of practicing, here's the final product.

Of course, it took me a couple of days of practicing so I could get a *decent* result...LOL!

Anyway, next time I hope my camera works better so I can show you a better shot of my work.  In the mean time, thanks for dropping by and have a great day! :-D
