Happy Easter & Blog Candy Winner!

Happy Easter everyone!

I hope that you had enjoyed your day...  we sure did!  We went to visit some relatives and ate like crazy...LOL!  The kids got to hatch eggs and they had tons of fun :-D

And, as always, we start another week with a fun challenge from Stamp With Fun...  but before I tell you about this week's challenge, I want to announce the winner of my *blog candy*...

Congratulations Diana!!!
Your Easter project was really~really cute and very original.  I bet that your DD loved it ;-)

Please -->email me<-- your mail addy so I can send you the candy :-)

Now this week's challenge from SWF is to make something using 3 papers, 3 flowers and 2 buttons...  so here's my take:

It's a Spring card!
And these papers are so cute...  they are Quite Contrary from My Mind's Eye.  Of course, I colored my image with Distress Inks ;-)

And here's another trick I want to show you:

See the paper flowers?
They are Crepe Paper that I cut using my Sizzix.  But the fun part was that, with a couple of drops of Distress Inks and some water mixed in a spray bottle, I sprinkled the Crepe Paper adding a nice, vintage effect to the flowers.  Pretty cool, ha?

And here's how my card looks when opened...  I still have to finish it though:

Now drop by Stamp With Fun to see what the rest of the DT did this time ;-)

Happy Stamping!

Recipe:
  • Patterned Paper - Quite Contrary by My Mind's Eye
  • Stamp - Magnolia
  • Inks - Distress Inks (Hair: Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain; Skin: Tattered Rose, Vintage Photo; Cheeks: Worn Lipstick; Dress & Shoes: Spun Sugar, Fired Brick, Shabby Shutters; Basket: Tea Dye, Walnut Stain, Broken China)
  • Paper Flowers - Crepe Paper, Generic
  • Leafs - Prima
  • Other - machine stitching, silk ribbon, rhynestones, Stickles, buttons, tulle
